when nate and i were engaged, we were told that we needed to "register" so that people could buy us gifts for our wedding. at first, it seemed like an awesome idea...but then quickly turned sour as we strolled through the aisels of target feeling weird about pointing a gun at anything and everything we "needed" for our "new life". i mean, do we really NEED a swan salt & pepper shaker?
we left with approximately 7 things on our list... fail.
and as we started out our life together, we realized there was a reason for these registries. people you love, want to get you started off on the right foot, and by looking at our broken shelves and cracked plates, i now understand.
SO that being said, when the registry topic came up this time around for baby nelson. we figured, it's a good idea. i mean we have no idea what we are getting ourselves into. what is a boppy anyways? I have a feeling that there are some people that can help us out in this department.
so I was delighted when i heard about myregistry.com.
basically, it means that i can surf the web and anytime i see something that makes my heart melt, or seems too practical to be true, i can click "add to my registry". brilliant!
for anyone who is curious, here's what I picked out so far.
eeeeeeek, everything is SO adorable!!!! i really love your choices! and i didn't know there was such a thing as a baby food maker, that's awesome! i want to make my own baby food too :) so excited for you guys!
ReplyDeleteMAN, I wish I knew about this site when I was registering for baby stuff last year. I mainly used Target.com, BabiesRUs.com, and Amazon.com and it was so confusing having my list of things in so many different places! I was able to use Amazon to add a lot of fun stuff, but everyone was too afraid to order from that site. haha Isn't it fun picking out baby stuff?!
ReplyDeleteI cried when Chris and I went to register before we got married. And not just a whimper. Like full.out.sobbing. It was pathetic! I was just SO overwhelmed by everything!!!!
