mom

i lost my beautiful mom, when i was 3 mos. old... a baby. without any idea of what was going on around me. and although i can smile when i think of her, there aren't really any memories that i hold.

except for the fact that she liked butterflies. so i have moments when, i may walk to work, and see one fluttering about, and i think of her...

i'm not going to lie, i dislike mother's day in general. but i hold onto the hope (distant as it may be) of becoming a mom someday, and i choose to celebrate in a different way...
so i drew this butterfly.
happy mom's day to all those mom's out there.
even mine.

  2. i'm horrible at knowing what to say in these situations. it breaks my heart that you never got to know your mom. i'm sorry for that. what a wonderful gift she has given you in collecting all the treasures of her life. (from your other post) i'll be thinking of you this mother's day.
