whenever i am not designing for clients, or changing poopy diapers.  I try to hop on minted and enter into some of their design contests.  It's really fun, and a great way to interact with other designers out there.  This little design I did recently one in the top 20 out of maybe 700 submissions.  Whoa!

this week has been hard.
our lives are very fragile and very brief. that is the lesson right now.
so grateful that i have breath in my lungs and a heart the loves and beats.
and a faithful God who has a very big picture which may seem so small to us.

making it work

well, i am 7.5 months into this work from home mom thing, and I gotta tell you, its not THAT easy (although look at that girl, its worth it). Don't get me wrong, I'm extremely blessed...I'm not 2 months postpartum and working at the grocery store after a c-section, like the young mom I met the other day, oye.

It's a balancing act though, trying to be a good attentive mother, but also trying to bring in some income to help out, all the while trying to keep my house from looking like its on the show, hoarders.

my design business is multifaceted, from making the designs themselves to getting new clients (which for some reason hasn't come as easily since Haddie was born).
i guess they call it work for a reason, no one is going around calling work the fun zone or anything.

just sharing my piece, I'm SO grateful for all of my clients who bring me new work and the ones that keep coming back to me. you guys are the absolute best.

all wedding'ed out

to say that this past month or so has been busy would be a complete and total understatement. I was in two weddings, made a trip to the coast, went to the midwest and back, gave two toasts, ran my own business, raised my child, and kissed my husband, celebrated Christ's Resurrection, ate WAY too many reese's peanut butter cups, hugged my grandmas, sleep trained my baby girl, attended 4 year old birthday parties, and visited with many friends.

i need to take a very long nap.

oh okay, then I will just be thankful for the many blessings.
