i know i talk about the weather a lot on here.
and it's not because i'm boring. it's not my fault either. my stepmom would turn the tv on every morning when i was growing up and eagerly await the verdict of the day, rainy or sunny, cloudy, or foggy?

its become my obsession too.
well not obsession, but you know. I'm interested.
so i too now get up and look for sam champion's bright and sunny face on my telly.
tell me sam! will it be nice today?
no. lisa it will not.
it will be rainy, and stormy.
and disgusting like it has been for the last 7 days.
get over it.
that's what he says, for real. :)

Team Effort

Has anyone has a chance to check these out in my shop?
They are something new I have going on and its a collaboration between me and none other than my Father in law, Stan the man Nelson.

I asked him for some wood rounds and he painstakingly endured cracking and long hours to make the most perfect little round wood pieces for me, and shipped them off to arrive in my little hands last month.

I like to say that they are a product of a Father-in-law+ daugther-in-law duo.

he did good.

the hubs really went all out for our anniversary this year. and when i say all out. i mean all. out. he sent me notes all day for two days noting that we were on a "secret mission" each with new adventure.

a mission that i came to find out was full of hiking, swimming,gorgeous views, eating good food, cuddling, eating more good food , and CIRQUE DE SOLEIL!

needless to say i am more than refreshed after two full days of fun with my guy.

3 years!

today i have been married to nate for 3 years.

how can i even begin to show how thankful i am for that?

i'm living proof that you can miss someone, without even really knowing them.

i lost my beautiful mom, when i was 3 mos. old... a baby. without any idea of what was going on around me. and although i can smile when i think of her, there aren't really any memories that i hold.

except for the fact that she liked butterflies. so i have moments when, i may walk to work, and see one fluttering about, and i think of her...

i'm not going to lie, i dislike mother's day in general. but i hold onto the hope (distant as it may be) of becoming a mom someday, and i choose to celebrate in a different way...

so i drew this butterfly.

happy mom's day to all those mom's out there.

my cinco de mayo was weird. in a good way.

it involved old friends, contra dancing, bunny hats, and enchiladas..
