Bitness cards

everyone is getting all professional lately.
with their business cards, at least.
I've had a few people ask me to do some custom ones for you, and you know what? I like it!
Here are a few that I've done so far (at least the front of them)

well, it was a delectable birthday. can't you see?
Friday, I got together for dinner with my oldest friends that I have here in the NW, Saturday I spent the day basking in the sun with some ladies and getting pedicures, and I topped it all off on Sunday with some swimming, Lion King, and dessert. oh, how i love birthdays.

to bike or not to bike

ok, i will straight up admit it. I am a fair-weather, poser bicyclist.
I only ride my bike to work when the sun is shining, and when i do ride it, I only pretend to know the fancy hand signals and bike etiquette.

and today, as I was riding with a skirt on, because i forgot, and not because i am an exhibitionist.
I got scolded by another biker for not being cautious.
I mean yeah... when I'm riding I'm cautious and aware.
but when I'm just rolling out of my driveway, I revert to the days of old when I could just roll out of my driveway without much care in the world.

anyways, all that to say, it ain't easy being a biker in a biker world like Portland.
so much stigma to live up to... :)

barterting

sometimes i think it would be sweet to live in the olden days.
i mean sure, boys were kinda boogers to girls a little bit more.
and girls also had to wear girdles, which i don't think I'd fancy one bit.

but they also rode horses, and went to saloons and trading posts.
i think thats why i am so caught up in bartering lately.
i keep constantly finding cool shops and saying, "hey, wanna trade?"

not a half bad idea, when you're broke, but want cute threads, am i right?
I've done it twice with oh sweet joy... but the fun only continues :)

banjo

its pictures like this, on days like this, that make me believe that we belong on a farm. pickin at a banjo drinking sweet tea.
who knows, some day?
