back in the saddle again (sorta)

just throwing this picture in here, because...well, because.

so we're over one month in! the visitors are gone, the meals have stopped showing up at the door, the dishes have to be done by me this time.

As I'm settling back into new-normalcy I am also beginning to get back into the "designing saddle" again. I've done a few things here are there, mostly finishing up things that I left on the wayside in my 41st week of pregnancy, and it feels good to do so. Here are a couple of things I've done recently.

in the swing of things

3 weeks old this Friday! i have to say that with each day we catch the drift a bit more on what it takes to care for this newborn. sure, there are still sleepless nights, fussy spells, and the inability to think clearly on even the simplest of thoughts. BUT compared to our first night alone with her....we've come a LONG way.

when did you first start to feel like parenting was actually a doable thing? :)
oh, and what does one do when you want your baby to sleep in the room with you, but she's noisy when she sleeps?

40 weeks

well, we've come to this stage. overdue. by 6 days almost.

there are ups and downs of course.

the ups: the last days of just being Nate and I, dates, games, sleeping in...

the downs: wanting to hold my baby girl so bad it hurts.

I REALLY hope that we don't get to a point where we have to induce, in fact I think tomorrow sounds like just as good as any for labor.

we'll see...

39 weeks and waiting

39 weeks today... and it's just a waiting game now. hospital bag packed, car seat semi-installed :) nursery mostly set up, books read, walks walked. just waiting now. and in my waiting i decided to design, why not? so here are a few of my new designs:

38 weeks

There are a lot of things I'm feeling right now at 38 weeks. Excited, nervous, anxious, happy. But one thing that I definitely always feel is....huge.

I know I'm lucky in how this pregnancy has gone, and surely I could be much, much bigger...But I just cannot wait until I can breathe without sounding like a creepy stalker, or when I can get out of bed without rolling like a bowling ball all the while feeling like I am 83 years old.

I'm going to try to keep my cool (literally) and just cherish this moment as best I can, but if I get called big one more time, someone's going to pay.. And that's unfortunately probably going to be my husband :)

I'll keep you posted as to when the little one comes, can't wait!
